In the second half of the 19th century, the great Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen created the character of the restless anti-hero Peer Gynt, an adventurer, a liar, and an incurable romantic, who, looking for his true self in his dreams and semi-mystical reality, does not care about the hardships he leaves his loved ones in.The ballet draws inspiration from the musical landscape of Edvard Grieg and the literary world of Henrik Ibsen, as the choreographer Edward Clug weaves both of their unique visions into a new thrilling experience for the audience.
